Gurnee is in Illinois, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Gurnee follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. Didn't eat, just shopped the store. Love to see how the stores are the same but also different in what they have - local team and state souvenirs.

Hopefully you don’t have other plans the day you visit, they are so slow and don’t care about efficacy. Stuff is nice and food is great, but everything else kinda is awful. From time sat to food on table was over 50 minutes. I ordered fries as my side and they took an additional 5 minutes, and when they came out I only got 7. 🤷♂️ This area is filled with mediocre chain restaurants, do your middle class heart a favor and go elsewhere.

This has been a must-stop spot for my family on our way back to the city, but our last visit was incredibly disappointing. To start, the fountain drinks were completely flat; the Sprite tasted like plain mineral water. When we mentioned this to our waitress, she brought a replacement that was just as bad, so we asked for water instead. She seemed confused and smirked. My husband noticed her call over another employee, and they proceeded to laugh and point at our table, which was particularly unsettling since we were the only ones in that section. I work in customer service, and this is highly unprofessional. Once the food arrived, it was cold. My toast was soggy and only toasted on one side. Furthermore, my husband and daughter never received their biscuits or cornbread. I had to ask another waiter for them, as our waitress never checked on us after dropping off the food. By the time the bread basket finally arrived, they were practically done eating. If we hadn't been absolutely starving, we wouldn’t have even touched the microwaved, TV-dinner-style food. We won't be returning.

I have had better meals from the frozen meal from store. The biscuits were cold and dry. Along with the corn muffin were over cooked hard and dry. And they give you frozen butter. What joke trying to spread the butter. Ordered the lunch meatloaf. The meatloaf was had some moisture in it but the way it was cut .25 inches on top and maybe .75 on the bottom. The mashed potatoes were cold and dry with maybe a teaspoon of gravy on top. The the mack and cheese was not creamy it was clumps. The only thing good was the soft drink, but she didn't bring that to me until my meal was ready. I would suggest to stay away. The bill was almost $16.50 & with tip and total of $20. I would suggest to go to the Golden Coral couple blocks away. All you can eat for cheaper. I would of gone there but I had a gift certificate I need to use up.

I’ve been going to Cracker Barrel locations across the U.S. for over 20 years, so I have a pretty solid baseline for what to expect. Yesterday was only my second visit to this particular location. My first visit about 8 months ago was honestly the worst Cracker Barrel experience I’ve ever had—food quality was well below the standard I’ve come to expect over the years. That said, I decided to give it another shot, and I’m glad I did. This time around, the food quality was back to the classic Cracker Barrel level—fresh, well-prepared, and consistent with what I’ve experienced at other locations nationwide. It looks like whatever issues they were having before have been corrected. Based on this visit, I’d definitely come back again.
